Sentiment analysis, also known as opinion mining, emotion artificial intelligence, or emotion AI, is a computer content analysis technique that allows companies to automatically determine a text author’s attitude to what he or she talks about in his/her story, article, post, comment, or message. Sentiment analysis combines natural language processing (NLP) and semantic text analysis techniques that help computer systems determine the emotional state of the speaker. Organizations use sentiment analysis along with brand reputation management tools, which monitor company name mentions, in order to timely detect and properly react on negative information that can affect brand reputation.
